. . . is John Norvell. I live in Claremont, CA, teach as an adjunct professor of anthropology and writing at several of the Claremont Colleges, and study Brazil and the technological cultures of the Internet and other important domains of life. I hike and camp in mountains and deserts whenever possible, work really hard at yoga, and raise two exciting children, a seven-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl. I’m pretty skilled with hand and power tools, which I find to be both a blessing and a curse. I am an East Coast transplant by way of the Pacific Northwest and several other regions of the US. I follow politics and frequently yell at people on television, radio, and the Web.
