J. Oliver's changing abilities and moods
The last couple of days, Oliver has been smiling a lot at all of us (my Dad is visiting at the moment). As of today he has also developed wet tears to go with his increasingly common crying. His early warning signs of hunger have gone by the wayside, and he resorts to pitiful wailing at the first pang, I think. Also, he hasn't been very calm with me today, unless he's asleep. He wakes up, discovers whose arms he's in, and starts to cry. Not too good for my ego, i'm afraid. But then I don't have breasts, which are his world right now....

Meu deus do ceu that is one cute baby. But don't you think he might smother you in your sleep someday for that lamby ear outfit?

Wow, I didn't think they smiled at specific people that early. Either I'm misremembering my baby book stuff, or that is one highly advanced baby. Naturally it's the latter.
You and Oliver will figure out what father does best. "The booba," as Olivia calls it, is a very fine thing, but both our girls' hearts belong to daddy. He's still the only one who can get Elena to fall asleep if she doesn't fall asleep nursing, and she almost never does these days.
Re: a different post, with a Christmas menu like that, you're lucky we didn't show up on your doorstep. I saw a recipe recently on how to make/brew limoncello, but it takes weeks, and I can't think that far ahead.
Happy New Year to all of you!

I personally LOVE the lamby ear outfit AND the little Christmas sweater. I've decided that the Christmas sweater was intended only for babies... as older people don't generally rock them as well.
Question: What did you put the farofa on? The goose? Interesting... Brazilian fusion meets tasty italian drink...
Happy New Year!

I think the smiling is a face thing. He'll look up at his stuffed panda that perches above his changing place and smile broadly as well.

Don't get me wrong, I love the lamby outfit too. I was just thinking ahead to the teen years (or maybe thinking about the pink nightmare.

Yes, I get it. There will be this and many other pictures which may be entered into evidence some day!
